Decagon Gallery invites photographers worldwide to contribute to their upcoming online exhibition, “Patterns in the Wild,” a visual journey into the recurring rhythms and repetitions that define both the natural and the urban landscapes around us. From the intricate fractals of a fern and the structured geometry of city grids to the fascinating textures of decay and the inherent symmetry in animal markings, patterns communicate a fundamental order. They unveil structure within apparent chaos, beauty in what seems random, and intentional design in unexpected places.
This exhibition welcomes a diverse range of photographic styles and techniques, encouraging submissions from traditional landscapes to abstract interpretations, and from macro close-ups to expansive aerial views, as well as documentary and experimental approaches. We invite you to share your unique perspective on how you perceive and capture the patterns, the rhythm, and the repetition that exist “in the wild,” broadly interpreted to encompass all environments.
